The search for missing actor James Hollcroft has come to a tragic end.
The actor, known for his roles in Mexican series such as Como dice el dicho (“As the Saying Goes”), was reported missing on Sept. 3—according to People—and was found dead days later, his family shared on social media. He was 26.
“I will love you forever,” his sister Jane Hollcroft wrote on social media via Spanish translation alongside photos and videos of the late actor. “Thank you for the years we shared together and for giving me the most magnificent moments I could ever live. You will always be present in our hearts little brother.”
Hollcroft was also mourned by his brother-in-law, Arturo Avila Meija, who shared a selfie alongside the actor on social media, writing via Spanish translation, “I wish everything was just another dream.”
“Thank you for being the brother that you were, the uncle that you were with your nephews, the great son that you were,” he continued. “This really breaks my heart, today we lower the curtain here but I know that you are in heaven putting on that great performance that you talked so much about.”
Meija went on to thank Hollcroft for “everything you taught me, for always listening, for having that sympathy.”
“You had a unique essence that always,” he shared. “Every year I waited anxiously for you to come home and have those crazy talks that lasted for hours that seemed like time passed so quickly. I love you brother little brother, I will always carry you in my heart my dear Hollywood James Hollcroft.”
Hollcroft worked and trained at CEA Televisa, a media company based in Mexico City, according to People. The organization honored the late performer on their Facebook page, writing, “Thank you for all those good times we spent together during your acting training, we will carry you in our memories and in our hearts, you will always be part of our CEA family, farewell dear James Hollcroft.”
